As we saw in our previous post, we spent our time repairing the damp that was revealed when the Carver Heater was removed… After replacing the rotten wood and sealing it all up with Sikaflex, where now happy to proceed with the Carver replacement.

Using a refurbished unit from a known source, the replacement was easy enough, although the pipe work need alterations, while special attention was paid to reconnecting the 240 volt mains, used to heat the water, when connected to the campsite mains, being qualified in both low voltage DC and Mains AC it’s an easy enough job for us to do! If your doing it DIY then please get the system tested, as poor installation can plunge a campsite into darkness as we have seen at LeoBay before…!
